Toyota Century
This weeks weird car of the week is the Toyota Century which is one of Toyotas most expensive models in Japan.
It is oddly styled and in fact looks a lot like a 1970s American sedan with its large expanses of chrome that extend from the front bumper to the rear and plenty of wood inside across the dated and very square dashboard.
Powered by a V12 engine this car is designed primarily for the Chuffer driven executive. The interior includes things like Sat Nav a rear seat TV and DVD and heated and cooled power rear seats. The front passenger seats headrest folds forward to give the rear passenger a better view while the back of the seat folds down to turn the front seat into an ottoman. The doors also have a power assisted closing mechanism.
Every Century is test driven 50klm before being sold.
By the way we spoke of the Hartnett during last weeks weird car of the week and how a German Alexandria version was up for grabs at Shannons last Monday….it sold for $325.
