Argentina's Ford Falcon

The Ford Falcon started life in Australia as the XK in 1960 and was based on the then new 1959 US Ford Falcon. Argentina also started making their own version of the 59 car around the same time, only they didn't stop making it until 1991.

494209 Falcons were produced in Argentina and all were based on the original 1959 body. during the 70s the first major upgrade came in the form of a new front and rear end treatment as well as a new dash. in 1981  the car was revised again this time with another new dash and a front and rear end treatment that look like an exact copy of the last Ford Cortina.

During the 1970s to 1980s the car became the official vehicle of many of Argentina's police forces and ceased production in September 1991, today Ford Argentina sells cars like the Ka, Fiesta, Focus and Mondeo.
