This is our last of the weird car of the week for this year.
Our summer edition will feature our new segment called lemon of the week.
This weeks weird car of the week originates in Australia, it’s the Ford Fairlane but modified in the UK by a company called Coleman-Milne and sold to funeral homes as a hearse.
They have 3 models available 2 are based on falcon wagons with a Fairlane front and interior one is a standard 4 door wagon known as the Fairlane Estate but the other is heavily modified with an all new high roof that kind of makes it look like a popemobile, it is known as a Cardinal Hearse.
The 3rd model is basically a stretch limo version of the Fairlane known as the Dorchester.
The company that produces these cars have a special agreement with Ford Australia to supply them with the base Fairlanes.
This is not the first time the Falcon/Fairlane was sold overseas as a hearse, a South African company once produced a 6 wheel AU Falcon wagon as a hearse when Ford Australia were exporting Falcons there.
