The Amphigeo
This weeks weird car of the week is another modified car that started out as a normal car (the US version of the Suzuki Swift/Holden Barina known as a Geo) but has been modified into a boat.
Mark Roehrig of Louisville Kentucky developed a simple conversion that makes use of many of the original parts, including engine, transmission, CV axles, steering, suspension, seats, dash, radiator, fans, fuel tank. His "Amphigeo" took just 5 months to build; his second would only take about 3 months. He as received a fair bit of press coverage for the Amphigeo and for his latest project the Wheelsea, a school bus he intends to sail around the world in.
