Weird car of the week 30th April 2006 |
Saturday, 29 April 2006 |
This weeks weird car come from a Japanese company who produce a series of weird cars that are based on other manufactures models.
Mitsuoka Motors started to produce the Viewt around 1990, based on the Nissan Micra it featured a Jaguar front and rear end with leather seats and wood inserts on the dash. Since then they have produced a variety of cars mainly based on Nissans but styled after British cars like the Jag, Reily and even Rolls Royce. Their website is worth a look and can be a bit of fun working out what the car started out life as, also take note of the marketing slogans like “here you can find out the aesthetics being free from the passage of time” or “We are happy, its not logic”
